Henrike Wilson, in Köln geboren, studierte dort und in den USA, Grafikdesign und Malerei. Nach dem Studium arbeitete sie beim FAZ-Magazin. Nach Familiengründung und 3 wunderbaren Söhnen ist sie seit 21 Jahren freiberuflich als Illustratorin tätig. Seit ihrem Durchbruch mit dem „Kleinen Weihnachtsmann“ und dem mit dem Illustrationspreis der New York Times versehenen „Schaf Charlotte“ werden ihre Bücher weltweit publiziert und in viele Sprachen übersetzt. Kinder auf der ganzen Welt lieben ihre Bilder. Heute lebt und arbeitet sie in Berlin. Wo sie seit einiger Zeit auch selber erfolgreiche Bilderbücher schreibt.
