Quint Buchholz, 1957 in Stolberg im Rheinland geboren, lebt und arbeitet als Illustrator und Maler in München.
Seine Bilder erscheinen seit vielen Jahren auf Buchumschlägen, Postkarten, Kalendern, Postern und in Zeitschriften und Büchern, zu denen er manchmal auch die Texte schreibt, so bei "Schlaf gut, kleiner Bär" und "Der Sammler der Augenblicke".
Sein bekanntestes Bild ist vielleicht das in vielen Ländern erschienene Cover zum Roman "Sofies Welt" von Jostein Gaarder, von dem er auch zahlreiche weitere Bücher bebildert hat.
In Zusammenarbeit mit Elke Heidenreich sind die Bücher "Nero Corleone", "Nero Corleone kehrt zurück" und "Am Südpol, denkt man, ist es heiß" entstanden. Zuletzt hat Quint Buchholz die Bücher "Die Bibel in Bildern" und "Quints Tierleben" im Gütersloher Verlagshaus veröffentlicht.
Sein Buch "Der Sammler der Augenblicke" hat der Regisseur Jochen Schölch 2011 am Metropoltheater in München als Theaterstück inszeniert.
Im Herbst 2013 ist im Hanser Verlag "Im Land der Bücher" erschienen.
