Barbara Dienz-Sengmüller wurde am 5. Januar 1967, 3 Jahre nach ihrem Bruder Georg Otto Dienz, in Innsbruck, Tirol, Österreich geboren.
Sie verbrachte ihre Kindheit und Jugend in den Tiroler Bergen und zog mit 21 Jahren nach Wien, um eine Modeschule zu besuchen.
Nach dem Abschluss arbeitete sie bei einigen Wiener Designern und gründete im Jahre 2000 ihr eigenes Label "knallfrosch design".
Durch eine Freundin lernte sie 1998 Michael Etter kennen, für den sie 2001 eine Lederhosentasche für einen kleinen Fotoapparat entwarf.
Bald entstand die Plüschpostkartenserie in Zusammenarbeit mit ihrem Bruder Georg Otto Dienz.
2001 zeichnete Barbara das Schaf und seitdem ist es auf Postkarten und T-Shirts richtig gern gesehen.
Seit 2011 gibt es außerdem "Strickpostkarten".
Barbara Dienz-Sengmüller lebt mit ihren zwei Kindern und ihrem Mann, einem Medienkünstler, in Wien.
Sie macht bunte Kindermode, Schaf-Shirts, hält Nähkurse und entwirft Postkarten.
