Gerhard Haderer, 1951 in Leonding bei Linz geboren, war 12 Jahre lang als Grafiker und Illustrator für Werbeagenturen tätig. 1985 verließ ihn die Lust an dieser Branche und er begann, Cartoons und Karikaturen zu zeichnen. Erste Arbeiten erschienen in der kleinen Salzburger Satirezeitschrift "Watzmann", gleich danach regelmäßig im "profil", seit 1992 auch wöchentlich im "stern".
Neben einer Reihe von Cartoon-Sammelbänden zeichnet und schreibt Gerhard Haderer Bücher mit Bilderzählungen. Sein 2002 erschienenes Buch "Das Leben des Jesus" löste international heftige Reaktionen aus.
Seit 2002 erscheint monatlich "MOFF- Haderers feines Schundheftl", ein Comic-Projekt im klassischen Pikkolo-Format.
Gerhard Haderers grafisches Werk wurde vielfach ausgezeichnet, seine Arbeiten in Einzelausstellungen im deutschen Sprachraum gezeigt.
